Yellow Breeches/Mountain Creek, 05/16/26

Well it took three tries due to last years crazy weather, but finally Larry, Anthony and I got on the water together. It was a sunny and warm day. Both streams were clear, OK flow and 52-55 degrees. There were abundant tan caddis and a few sulphurs hatching throughout the day. These guys can flat out fly fish. We found only a few rising trout. Larry and Anthony mostly fished nymphs, Larry did fish some dries. The Yellow Breeches fished well. They combined for at least 7 rainbows. It became too crowed for my liking so that’s when we went to Mountain Creek. They both loved it there. Larry and I messed around with a bunch of risers, Anthony fished nymphs. We picked up another 4 or so browns. It was a blast and can’t wait for our next rodeo.
