Yellow Breeches, 05/05/25

Man what a fun day with Craig and his son Joseph. We met at the fly shop and killed it from 8AM until a rain stopping deluge rolled it at 2PM. Needless to say, it felt and looked like rain all day. All the stream received so much beneficial rainfall and all are in perfect shape. So we set off and once I saw the water conditions being stained with few rising trout, I went all in with nymphs off indicators. These guys new their stuff so it was get on the water and fish. At one point, I think I would land a fish for Craig and then back to Joseph. Picked up easily 11 rainbow, some small but most were in the 13” to one 18” stocked rainbow. Did have a few wild browns lost and landed one. We shall see what tomorrow brings us.
