SCPA Stream Report, 05/06/25

I was to guide today, but we got hit very hard with rain. That is a true blessing. I did show Craig and Joseph a place to go, but I was not going to guide a full day on the “Run” . They appreciated what I did and pleased to see an honest guide still exist.

Given that the brunt of the storm hit from Waynesboro, Fayetteville and the Buchannan Valley area. With that said here is what to expect given my drive today.

Red Run/Antietam Private water-Red Run will be fishable again tomorrow. Antietam will be good by Thursday. Water will remain at great levels trough June.

Conococheague and tributaries- The upper “jig” and tribs. should be OK by Thursday. The lower end by Saturday.

Falling Springs, LeTort and Big Springs are now clear and in good shape to fish.

Yellow Breeches- Above the confluence of Mountain creek will be good by Thursday. Mountain creek is flowing hard so the lower end should be good by the weekend.

With that said, we will have plenty of cool trout water well into June on the freestone streams. The spring creeks will be fine all summer. If you been waiting to book, I’m betting what I have in June will fill fast.
