Conococheague, Carbaugh Run, 05/08/25

Jack moved to the area 2 years ago and just still a little confused about where he can trout fish. So we did a tour starting in Chambersburg and ending above my house. I wanted to do a little more fishing, but Jack wanted to just keep using my lifetime of knowledge to better him on where to go. Once we were done, he flat out could not believe all the water we have just in this small circle to fish. The waters are still flowing very very good. The best consistent flows I have seen in year. That looks to continue since all the stream gauges have balanced out to these flows. Carbaugh Run is still flowing almost out of it’s bank. The water temperatures ranged from 50 to 52 degrees. We are definitely good into July!! Still, Jack had two trout takes with nymphs on Falling Springs, and had three on the Conococheague. It was a darn fun morning.
