Finally Joe and I got back on the water to finish a full day split. This time we fished. It was a sunny day warming to 85 degrees. The water is in fair shape. It still only warmed to 64 degrees by noon. There were plenty of rising trout which has been a rarity this year. I started Joe off fishing dry flies and then we moved onto other techniques like droppers and nymph fishing. Joe needed a quick casting lesson and he caught a small brown while doing so. As we kept working on things, he missed three more and even had the enjoyment of watching me miss one. It was an awesome morning.
