Well the trout opener has finally arrived. I had some things to do but meet up with Fisher and his girlfriend Lyla around 10AM. I don’t think Lyla has done much in the way of fishing. So, I needed to see this. She did well and I watched her catch her first trout. It was sunny and nearing 70 degrees. The water was tinted and 50 degrees. There were plenty of craneflies and Fisher did see a few trout rising in spots. They fished two spots and landed 1. We got to another area that had cleared from this morning. It was nice to be able to move around at this point. We got into a bunch of rainbows. When I left them to do yard work we had caught at least 18 rainbows. It was fun hanging out with my son and Lyla. Memories that last.
Just a reminder that there has been an event cancelation and I now have a spot open for a trip in April. You can pick either the 25th or 26th for a memorable trip this amazing private water on Antietam Creek. If one of these days will work for you, give me a call this spot will not be open for long.
