Antietam/Red Run, 04/07/25
What a great time George and I had on the stream today despite the blustery conditions. We fished from 9am to around 2:30pm under sunny skies and 45 degree air temps. The water was stained and dropped back to 42 degrees. Plenty of craneflies still were hatching along with midges and a few caddis. This was more than a fishing trip. George was in from Roanoke for a FOX news affiliate to film a 1/2 hour TV show that will air in 10 states. He surprised me this morning with news that many TV news channels are now asking to air a 2 minute segment on our water and the amenities we offer. He said the Harrisburg station possibly will air that. So we set off with cameras and I did my thing. George did a little fishing as well. I wanted him to experience how special this water was. He landed two and had a big brown on for a second or two. With the drop in water temperature, I knew browns would be a little inactive. I landed 2 rainbows and that said, moved to Red Run and picked up two nice wild browns. George wanted a quick shot of our lower water where I rolled a nice trout and landed a nice rainbow. It was a great shoot and the TV show and the two minutes segments will be awesome to watch. I will update on Facebook once I know the air times of the show.
