What a return for fly fishing on our water. It is still low, but rain is coming. The water is clear and 60-63 degrees. Bob and Jim spent the night at the farmhouse and we hit the water at 8AM. Midges, tan caddis just would not entice trout to the surface. It did not matter with two very good Euro fisherman. We started at the farmhouse property and then only had 50 minutes on a new section before the storms arrived around 1:30PM. It took about two hours of fishing before we landed a trout under 14 inches. These were all browns. We only had a shot at three holes on our new water before the rain set in, still landing 6. Bob and Jim combined for at least 12 brown and 4 rainbows. Two browns went 18 and 20.5 inches. Both Ron and I have a few dates open for September and October, but that will go quick.
