Met up with Rob and Eric on Thursday to help them settle into the farmhouse and they quickly set off to fish. We fished from 8:30AM until 4PM the next day. It was a cool start finally hitting 60 by noon. I was yet another windy day. We were hoping for dry fly activity, but that is slow to start this year. Eric did not want to fish nymphs like Rob did all day. So he did not mind tossing streamers and I was pumped up. Way to move some big trout at times. The water is clear and 49 which warmed to 54 degrees. Some caddis and olives were hatching, but nothing taking off the surface. Rob missed a few and landed several small browns and two nice rainbows. Eric landed three very nice rainbows, and had six 18+ inch browns take some quick short strikes. One was on for a quick second but tossed the hook. It was a great day.
