Can’t believe Pat, Dave and I have been at it for four years. They plan a trip with me each year and there 2027 trip is already planned. Like they said, farmhouse stay, allowed to fish on there own, the amazing wild trout fishing along with great dining there is no where else to go. They arrived around 1PM Tuesday and hit the water we allow for “Guest Fishing”. They both caught a few browns. Tuesday was a great day of fishing. It was a sunny and warm 80 degrees. Some caddis made for some spotty rising trout and I put Pat on them. But most of the day was spent fishing nymphs off indicators. The water was 54 degrees, clear and great flow. Our 1/2 day on Wednesday, well we tried, but bailed because of the downpours. I’m easy going, just said you have next years 1/2 day paid for. Still the fishing was great. Both Dave and Pat are very good fly fisherman. Dave was just off his game and lost so many. We all have been there, I sure have. But Dave did land a nice 16 inch brown. Pat was spot on. He missed some, but landed 7 good browns. They can’t wait for next year and still can’t believe what we have in the way of a wild trout fishery.
