I had a great day with Tim and Lexi. They were both kind of new, but Tim has had much more stream time. Lexi had never caught a trout and I was going to be sure that changed. It was a mostly cloudy day with air temperatures warming from 50 to 65 degrees. A strong wind did set in around 11AM. The water is still perfect. It has cleared up and holding at 2.4’. By mid-morning there was plenty of midges, a few BWO’s and dark tan caddis. Nothing yet on the surface feeding. So we set off with nymphs fished off indicators. I spent most of the day with Lexi. By mid-day she was casting and fishing the water so well, I had more time with Tim. Lexi being so new, it just was setting the hook. Tim was much better than he thought. We had a blast. Missed a few, had some long releases. We put to net, two 18” rainbows and rest ranged from 12 to 15 inches. It was once again a great day on this incredible water.
