Yellow Breeches, 06/23/25

Another very hot and humid start. Dan and I started at 7:30AM and finished around 11:45AM. Dan was all new to fly fishing so this was more of a beginner class. I did casting later, because I knew the heat was coming. The was is in great flow, 60 degrees to start and still not a rise to be seen. So Dan learned how to nymph fish using several techniques. Then we finished up with a casting lesson. I also instructed him about what leaders and tippets to use and a quick entomology class. Hey, Dan landed 1 rainbow and two browns. His first ever with a fly rod in hand. Way to go T&T Zone 10’4wt.
