Blue Line Brook Trouting, 06/10/26

Man it has been about two years since I did a all day brook trout trip. Tom and I fished last year and that is what he wanted this year. I forgot how darn fun it was. We set off at 8AM and finished by 3:30PM. It was sunny and a humid 72 degrees at my house. By the time we arrived into the mountain valley is was sunny and 65 degrees. The mountain streams are flowing so well for mid-June. Plus the two streams that we fished, still had water temperatures at56 degrees! There were a ton of small Yellow Sallies hatching. Tom put together his favorite two small bamboo rods. He sets one up with a dry and the other has a wet fly. Whatever one he was not fishing, I held onto it. It was a great day, only other breathing creatures we saw were deer and squirrels. Tom landed numerous handful size to a few 6 to 7 inch brook trout. It sure was fun.
