I had a blast with Dan and Paul. They won a gift certificate for a half day public water and wanted to upgrade it to a full day and private water water. Not a problem. They arrived in the evening the day before and fished on their own for a little. They saw a bunch of sulphurs and picked up a few small browns. We met up at 7:30AM under sunny skies. It got quite warm out. The water was at 2.3, clear and around 64 degrees. Nothing but a few caddis were hatching and some spotty rising trout. Paul loves dry fly fishing and did that much of the day. Dan fished with nymphs. These men could fish! I just told them what to use, showed them runs and pools and let them have at it. With the weather coming it was the way to go. They did not miss many. We put well into the high teens to the net today. A fair number of 10-13 inch browns and a fair number of rainbows. A first for me. A really bad storm was rolling in on us just at 2PM. Thunder wind and it is really time to get going. But, I had to land a 15 in rainbow and we just made it back to the farmhouse in time. It was a blast today.
