What a great weekend with the Chesapeake Women’s Anglers. They started rolling in around 2:30PM Friday. Some of them fished a little that night. We hosted 6 great ladies. They flat out loved the farmhouse and all it has to offer. I know Friday they grilled chicken and Saturday burgers on the grill. Saturday Ron and I rolled in around 7:30AM and we fished until 4PM. Tracy Met up with us for a special lunch in the renovated barn on the property. The water was clear, perfect flow and 49-54 degrees. Midges, craneflies and caddis were hatching both days. Some little browns were rising. We all fished either Euro rigs or nymphs off indicators the entire weekend. The best part about the whole weekend was that every lady caught at least 2 trout each day. I know Ron and I were busy at times. They caught a pile of trout. A fair numbers of rainbows, but many browns including a 20+ that popped off and 6 15 to 18 browns in the net. It was such a great weekend, words can’t describe it. They were all so impressed, already getting 2027 on the calendar and possibly 2 weekends.
