I was to guide today but we called it with the weather they were calling for. I loved what Colin sent to me later, “Weatherman for hire, No experience necessary”. But we will fish next week so not a problem. I have a big trip coming up Friday so I did a little Recon. Fisher is now a license guide and will be helping me. The “Jig” has more water in it than I have seen in at least 7 years. It can’t be in better shape as for all are stream right now and that does not look to change well into June. It was stained in town and clear in the mountains. It was flowing around 50 degrees. I see plenty of midges and some olives and caddis. I tied on a double nymph set up and fished each spot for about 20 minutes. Frist, I can’t believe there is hardly anyone out fishing. Second, there are plenty of trout. I picked up 1 to 5 trout on each stop I made. I made 6 stops and that was a bunch of trout in the net. I still have dates left and fishing is incredible!.
