I have been working on fly orders and knocked out more for Dette’s Trout Flies. In 16 hours, I tied up 28 dozen of my MH black stonefly nymph. Thanks the heavens I had to run down to Waynesboro today. I did what I had to and hit the stream for about an hour. It was sunny and in the high 50’s. The water was clear and flowing great. I did see some midges and watches a few early black stoneflies crawling around some streamside rocks. Nothing was no the rise. I tied on a tandem nymph rig of green and yellow MH BH caddis. I fished three runs and landed a nice brown. It was great to be walking the streams again. Next week looks to be pushing the upper 60’s. The streams are in prime early spring fishing condition. Give me a ring if you wish to get on some early season trout.
