Yellow Breeches, 04/30/25

Bob, Eric and I meet at the fly shop and we got geared up and ready by 8AM. They are both very good fly fisherman and we have done several trips together. They both are dying to get back on my private water soon, but they wanted to see this stream and learn to get away from the crowds. So, it was a little 1/2 day stream tour under sunny and warm skies. The water is still clear and low, 51-58 degrees. Some trout rising to caddis in the morning, but once the sun hit the water, well better go to the bottom. As we ventured around the stream, we fished very quickly with just dry/droppers. Bob and Eric loved the stream and never knew just how much water there was. They did well, picking up two wild browns and three rainbows. It was a fun morning sharing my knowledge of the stream.
