I had a few things to grab in town so I decided to “Recon” the Jig. Come Wednesday, I will be guiding just about every day till the 2nd. week of June. I still do have a few openings during that timeframe just in case there is a last minute booking. It was sunny and 68 degrees. The water was clear, 48 degrees and plenty of midges, craneflies and caddis hatching. I scouted 4 popular sections and many is there so many trout out there. Weekday pressure is very light, weekends can be busy. The hatches made for a lot of rising trout. Best dry fly action I had this year. I landed 13 in total. It was a mix of browns and rainbows from 10 to 13 inches.
