I had a great time with Chuck and John today. We fished from just before 8AM until 3:45PM. The water lever came back down to a safe and manageable 2.7”. It was dirty to stained which made for a day of nymph fishing. The water temperature was a steady 58-60 degrees. It stayed cloudy all day. Did warm up into the low 70’s. They both have fly fished just about everywhere, so they knew what they were doing. But like John said, he learns and today he walked off the stream seeing just how light wild trout inhale flies. It turned into a very good day given what “Mother Nature” hit us with. John broke off a good trout. We put 2 browns and 5 rainbows in the net and easily missed that many more.
